The First Finnish Book on Fashion Law Published

Lawyer, Member of the Finnish Bar Association, Emilia Hodge, in collaboration with Dr. Heidi Härkönen, has authored the first comprehensive Finnish book on fashion law. This book provides a detailed and contemporary overview of key legal issues and case law in the fashion and design industry.

The book primarily focuses on intellectual property rights crucial for the commercialisation of creative work, along with complementary regulations. It also covers marketing and consumer law, data protection issues, and selected contractual matters relevant to the industry, as well as regulations related to the circular economy. Designed as a handbook, it is a valuable resource for many professionals in the fashion industry, such as lawyers, decision-makers, designers, and those working in branding, marketing, and communications.
